Chilliwack RCMP execute search warrants at South Sumas Road property
CHILLIWACK — A spokesperson for the Chilliwack RCMP detachment says authorities have executed search warrants at a property on South Sumas Road, resulting in the arrest of two men who were responsible for fentanyl distribution in the Chilliwack area.
According to a statement from RCMP Sgt. Alexandra Mulvihill, the Chilliwack RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, with tactical assistance from the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (LMD IERT), the RCMP Clandestine Lab Enforcement and Response Team (CLEAR), the Chilliwack Serious Crime Unit, and the General Investigation Section (GIS), executed multiple search warrants last Thursday, Oct. 2 as part of an ongoing drug trafficking and production investigation.
Police say search warrants were executed at two residences, two storage lockers, and a clandestine laboratory located on South Sumas Road in Chilliwack.
Sgt. Mulvihill says the investigation began in early 2025 following intelligence gathered by the Priority Target Team in late 2024. Surveillance and investigative techniques led authorities to identify 35-year-old Justin Fauth and 37-year-old Carlos Martinez as key suspects involved in the distribution of fentanyl in the Chilliwack area.
