HOPE — All five Othello Tunnels and the Kettle Valley Rail (KVR) Trail are now fully open for the season – but not for long.

The District of Hope has announced that the Tunnels, located in the northern section of Coquihalla Canyon Park, are now open to visitors after ongoing restoration following the 2021 floods.

New bridges, trail resurfacing, and slope stabilization were among the work completed in the latest phases.

“Thank you to BC Parks and project crews for their work on this restoration project!” wrote the District. “Plan your visit soon and enjoy this iconic piece of Hope’s history while the season lasts!”
