Quebec’s public security minister says authorities believe organized crime was behind a shooting at a Montreal-area Starbucks.

Ian Lafrenière says three people were shot around 10:30 a.m. at the coffee chain in Laval, Que.

CBC News is reporting that a man who has connections to organized crime was killed and two others suffered serious injuries following the shooting at a Starbucks in a busy strip mall in Laval. Authorities believe the incident had the makings of a targeted shooting.

Radio-Canada is reporting that its sources have confirmed the victim was Charalambos Theologou, also known as Bobby the Greek. The two people injured in the shooting were members of his gang, the Chomedey Greeks.
