Abbotsford police catch 5 border runners in 2 nights
ABBOTSFORD — Police have stopped five people from running through the U.S.-Abbotsford border over the past couple nights.
Between September 24 and 25, AbbyPD reports that patrol officers responded to three separate incidents involving border runners, resulting in the arrest of five individuals for illegally entering Canada in Abbotsford.
“These arrests highlight the vigilance and adaptability of our frontline officers,” said the Abbotsford Police Department in a social media post. “From traffic stops to border-related incidents—no two days are ever the same in policing.”
Four people were turned over to the Canada Border Services Agency, and one was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
