More than 300 addresses ordered evacuated as wildfire burns near Peachland, B.C.

PEACHLAND — An evacuation order has been issued for a few hundred addresses in the Okanagan Valley due to an out-of-control wildfire.

The order covers 325 addresses in the Peachland, B.C., area, near Kelowna.

Residents were told to leave their properties immediately and only bring critical items like wallets, keys and medication.

Another 1,100 addresses in the area were placed under an evacuation alert, meaning residents had to be ready to leave at a moment’s notice.
