Mission conservation officers issue tickets, seize guns in shooting compliance checks

MISSION — B.C. conservation officers have been out in the country making sure everyone complies with local guidelines this hunting season.

At Lost Creek FSR in Mission, officers issued five violation tickets for shooting in prohibited areas, as well as seized two firearms due to having no valid possession and acquisition license.

“Always confirm you’re in a legal shooting zone and have the proper licenses,” said the Conservation Officer Service. “And please—pack out what you pack in. Let’s keep backcountry spaces clean and safe for everyone.”

Open season dates are generally set to end between December and January.
