Cops for Cancer tour rolls through Chilliwack and Abbotsford

CHILLIWACK — Some police members in the Fraser Valley are donning a different uniform today (Sep. 19) as they ride through Chilliwack and Abbotsford for the Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley 2025.

The event marks its fifth day in the heart of the region after coming from the Abbotsford-Mission area Thursday, September 18.

Two officers and one civilian staff member with the AbbyPD have joined the cause to support the Canadian Cancer Society, along with one RCMP officer from Chilliwack.

“If you see our CopsForCancer riders, cheer them on — they’re pedalling hundreds of km to support pediatric cancer research and Camp Goodtimes,” said the Abbotsford Police Department.

The fundraiser is over two-thirds of the way to its fundraising goal of $285,000 at the time of writing.

Riders are set to make their way up to Hope and Boston Bar tomorrow, September 20, for the final leg of the journey.
