Chilliwack Secondary principal notifies parents about incident involving replica guns
CHILLIWACK — The principal of Chilliwack Secondary has notified parents about an unsanctioned activity known as “grad assassin” that happened on school grounds during the Thursday lunch hour.
According to an email obtained by Fraser Valley Today, CSS principal Danielle Wicker advised parents that all students were safe and well but some may have witnessed what she called “inappropriate behaviour” in the school’s parking lot.
“This email is to notify you of a situation that occurred at CSS during the lunch hour today,” the email stated. “Some students engaged in an unsanctioned activity called ‘grad assassin’ which meant some students brought replica guns and shot non-lethal objects from those replicas at each other. This may have been upsetting to any student that witnessed this behavior. We have made a school-wide announcement letting everyone know they are safe and this behavior is not allowed.”
Fraser Valley Today received this email from a CSS parent, and contacted a second CSS parent to verify its authenticity.
