Surrey woman facing charges for punching female Mission RCMP officer in the face
MISSION — A 34-year-old Surrey woman is facing charges after she allegedly struck a police officer during a disturbance call in late August in Mission.
According to a social media post, Mounties in Mission were called to a disturbance between two people on Dewdney Trunk Road near Cedar Street on Friday night, August 29 at 10 p.m.
When officers arrived, officers attempted to de-escalate the incident, but the female related to the dispute suddenly punched a female RCMP member in the face.
Police say the 34-year-old woman from Surrey was arrested for assaulting a police officer, obstructing a peace officer, and causing a disturbance. Charges are being recommended.
