Abbotsford cat rescue to open new thrift store, adoption centre

ABBOTSFORD — After months of hard work and community support, a local cat rescue will soon be soft-launching its new thrift store and adoption centre in Abbotsford.

On Wednesday (Sep. 10), at 10 a.m., the Abby Cat Daddy is set to open the doors to its first brick-and-mortar space at Little Oaks Mall.

“This is just the first step in our journey!” said the Abby Cat Daddy.

“While our thrift store and adoption centre are opening now, we’re also working toward the launch of our non-profit spay & neuter clinic—a key part of tackling cat overpopulation in the Fraser Valley.”

Funds raised through the thrift store will help support the rescue and its Trap-Neuter-Return projects, including a mega site holding between 50 and 75 reproducing cats.
