Police arrest 2 in theft from local business: Chilliwack RCMP

CHILLIWACK — A spokesperson for the Chilliwack RCMP detachment says two males have been arrested for allegedly stealing from a local business in Chilliwack.

Chilliwack RCMP Sgt. Alexandra Mulvihill told Fraser Valley Today via email that police made the arrests Wednesday (Sep. 3) as a result of a theft involving a tool set.

One of the males had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Abbotsford and was brought back to jail cells.

A van involved in the police arrest that was suspected of being stolen was not actually stolen, Sgt. Mulvihill said, but was towed due to a number of safety concerns.

Sgt. Mulvihill believes the stolen tool set included a skill saw.
