Break and enter southwest of Yarrow leaves residents shaken (VIDEO)

ABBOTSFORD — In response to an inquiry from Fraser Valley Today, a spokesperson for the Abbotsford Police Department has confirmed that a man was arrested after a break and enter happened last week in a rural area southwest of Yarrow.

According to a statement from AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, AbbyPD patrol officers were dispatched for the report of a break and enter in progress in the 3300 block of Tolmie Road last Thursday, August 28 at approximately 4:45 a.m. While the incident happened in the Abbotsford PD’s coverage area, it is generally located southwest of Yarrow.

Police say at the time of the incident, a family was inside the residence and awoke to find a man in their home.

Officers from patrol shifts one and two arrived on scene and arrested 31-year-old Kayle Moreland, who has since been charged with one count of break and enter with intent or commit.

“While the residents were understandably shaken, no physical injuries were reported,” the news release stated.

The accused has a court date on Thursday morning, Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. at the Abbotsford Law Courts building. Under the CSO database category where it states if the suspect is in custody, it says N for no.
