AbbyPD investigates early morning shooting Monday

ABBOTSFORD — Police are seeking more information after an early morning shooting at an Abbotsford home.

At about 2:09 a.m. Monday (Sep. 1), patrol officers with the Abbotsford Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 32000 block of Balfour Drive and found a home peppered with bullets.

“The occupants were inside the home asleep at the time of the incident,” said Media Relations Officer Sgt. Paul Walker. “Thankfully, while understandably shaken, no one sustained physical injuries.”

AbbyPD’s Major Crime Unit is now investigating to find a motive behind the shooting.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or has dashcam footage in the area of Balfour Drive or Clearbrook Road between Downes Road and Maclure Road between 1:45 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. is urged to contact the AbbyPD Major Crime Unit at 604-859-5225 and quote file number 2025-37705.
