Pedestrian suffers minor injuries from reported train incident Wednesday night in Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack first responders were dispatched Wednesday evening after getting reports that a pedestrian was hit at a Chilliwack rail crossing.
According to scanner traffic, Chilliwack firefighters and paramedics were paged at approximately 8:20 p.m. about a possible incident involving a train vs. pedestrian near Eagle Landing.
A B.C. Emergency Health Services helicopter was initially paged for a potential launch but was later canceled.
“Yes, we did attend for a report of a possible train vs. pedestrian incident,” Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Alexandra Mulvihill told Fraser Valley Today via email. “The male involved was minimally injured and was transported to hospital for medical treatment.”
