CHILLIWACK — While it announced its closure earlier this year, the time has arrived for a Chilliwack specialty store to close its doors for good.

After 40 years of serving customers in Chilliwack and beyond, Decor West plans to close its doors by the end of this week.

The longtime business at 9232 Young Road announced in May 2025 that it would begin a close-out sale of its inventory.

“Starting today, May 15, 2025, closing out SALE at Decor West Interiors! 25% off all regular merchandise and 50% off all Fall and Christmas Decor. Open 10 to 4 Tuesday to Saturday!” the company wrote in May 2025.

In response to a question from Fraser Valley Today, the company confirmed on its Facebook page that this week would be its final one in business.

The boutique business had carved out a niche in interior design and home furnishings.

The company wrote on its website that Decor West Interiors began as a concept in the imagination of its founder and current owner, Sandy Andreasen.

“The idea was that interior design be considered with the complete picture in mind, with all services and products readily at hand in order to achieve the design goal,” Decor West Interiors said online. “Whether it’s the multiple Georgie Awards, Street of Dreams Homes or most important, the long list of satisfied, longtime customers, Decor West is an industry leader. Sandy’s passion and commitment to that original vision has stood the test of time and made Decor West Interiors the Fraser Valley’s preeminent source for interior design and home decor.”

Before it closes later this week, the company is offering 75 per cent off furniture, lamps, carpets and accessories.
