NORTH VANCOUVER — A home associated with a man who was arrested after a British Columbia boat crash that killed a 10-year-old boy in June has been hit by gunfire.

Police say they’re investigating the shooting at the home in North Vancouver after witnesses reported hearing gun shots around 4 a.m. on Sunday.

Police did not identify the exact address, but television footage shows the home marked by what appear to be bullet holes is a property that government records show is connected to the man arrested after the crash that killed Lionel Hall and injured another child in the waters off Cates Park.

North Vancouver RCMP say the home’s owner found bullet holes after hearing a loud bang, and police found evidence of gunfire at the scene.
