HEMLOCK VALLEY — Members of a proposed resort group in the Hemlock Valley are moving forward with their community-led initiative with the launch of a new website.

The Hemlock Valley Resort Association (HVHA) is looking to enhance experiences for homeowners, visitors and local businesses at Sasquatch Mountain Resort and the Valley – but it will need some help from the Fraser Valley Regional District first.

Deanne Steven, a consultant specializing in Resort Associations, said a website is a great start to the engagement process.

“Now is our moment,”said Jason Vance, vice president of the Hemlock Valley Homeowners Association (HVHA).

“By securing an equitable Board of Directors, a dependable income stream we can grow with grants, and a clear mission to improve life on the mountain, the Hemlock Valley Resort Association gives homeowners, the resort operator, and the Sts’ailes, an exceptional opportunity to come together and shape the future we’ve all been waiting for.”

The Association is now seeking feedback from the public at an in-person event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on August 23 at the Sasquatch Mountain Resort Day Lodge.

Interested parties can meet with HVHA leaders, Deanne Steven and hospitality group representatives to go over the HVRA’s foundational documents.

If approved, the proposed group would become the fifth resort association across all of B.C.
