Chilliwack RCMP to host Open House next month

CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack RCMP are hosting an open house next month as it celebrates 75 years of policing service in the community.
Officers and staff will open the doors to the Chilliwack RCMP detachment on Airport Road on August 16, offering the public a rare look inside the building. Personnel will be on hand to lead tours through the cell blocks and provide a look inside police cars.
A Red Serge photo booth, equipment displays and face painting will offer a variety of interactive experiences.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to all families.
