Original story:

CULTUS LAKE — The Fraser Valley Regional District is urging everyone in the Cultus Lake area to immediately stop using water or flushing their toilets due to a sewer main break.

According to a news release, the Cultus Lake Water and Sewer System experienced a sewer main break on July 10, causing an electrical issue at the water pump house.

“The FVRD will provide updates on social media and our website as they become available. Thank you for your cooperation during this time,” FVRD said.

Residents need to immediately stop using their faucets for water, or flushing toilets, unless it’s considered an emergency.
