No injuries after early Saturday shooting in Abbotsford: AbbyPD

ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Police Department is seeking witnesses and dashcam footage after an early morning shooting Saturday (July 5).

At around 3:48 a.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2700 block of Tolmie Road and found a home riddled with gunfire.

“At the time of the incident, the occupants were inside the home asleep,” wrote Sgt. Paul Walker, media relations officer for AbbyPD. “While understandably shaken, no one was physically injured.”

AbbyPD’s Major Crime Unit has now taken over the case, and investigators are in the early stages of finding a motive behind the shooting.

Anyone who was in the 2700 block of Tolmie Road or the surrounding Sumas Prairie area between 3:00 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. who may have witnessed or captured footage of anything suspicious is asked to contact the AbbyPD Major Crime Unit at 604-859-5225 and quote file number 2025-28462.
