CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Basketball Association has announced that a former Hall of Fame basketball player has officially joined its ranks to hold two positions within the organization.

Earlier this week, CBA said Coach Pam Danis has been named its youth program co-coordinator and director of girls basketball.

Danis brings an impressive resume to her dual roles with the CBA. She had a Hall of Fame playing career and brings elite coaching experience and a passion for empowering youth through sport. As captain of the University of Winnipeg Wesmen, she led her team to 3 national championships and has since impacted thousands of young athletes through coaching, education, and advocacy.

She founded the Big Country Basketball Academy, created outreach programs for Indigenous youth, and received multiple awards for her leadership and service.

“With her deep commitment to inclusion, equity, and excellence, Coach Pam will be leading the charge to grow the game for girls and youth in Chilliwack,” CBA said.

“I am excited to be part of the ever-growing basketball community in Chilliwack and look forward to growing the game and building on our successful Girls Who Rock programs,” Coach Danis said.
