Harrison Hot Springs councillor awarded with King Charles III Coronation Medal

HARRISON HOT SPRINGS — The Village of Harrison Hot Springs says it is proud to announce that Councillor Leo Facio has been awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal, recognizing his outstanding service and dedication to the broader community.

Councillor Facio, who formerly served as mayor in the town of roughly 2,000 people, has been serving Harrison Hot Springs for over three decades. He was first elected to council in 1993, and would later serve six terms as councillor and four terms as Mayor, providing what the village calls “steady leadership, passion, and an unwavering commitment to the community he calls home.”

The village says the well-deserved honour reflects his decades of hard work, advocacy, and dedication to making Harrison Hot Springs a welcoming and vibrant place for all.

“During his over 30 year tenure as an elected official in Harrison Hot Springs, Councillor Facio has demonstrated extraordinary dedication to building positive relationships that strengthen our community,” the village said. “His hard work, leadership and commitment have seen many infrastructure and tourism projects come to fruition during his time on Council. We are proud to honour his incredible service to the community. Congratulations, Councillor Facio!”
