HARRISON HOT SPRINGS — Three days after it was ordered closed due to unsafe waters, the Village of Harrison Hot Springs says the lakeside lagoon has reopened.

Earlier this week on Monday, the municipal lagoon did not meet Fraser Health standards for swimming or wading, leading to an immediate closure. The village said that contact with the waters may cause illness or injury.

The village now says that after three consecutive samples below the required level limits, Fraser Health has determined that the Lagoon meets health standards for recreational water usage.

As a result, the swimming advisory has been lifted, the village said.
