CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack North MLA Heather Maahs plans to welcome Fraser-Nicola MLA Tony Luck at a fundraiser next week at one of Chilliwack’s newer restaurants.

The fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, June 21 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Kelly O’Bryan’s in Chilliwack, features an evening of food, drinks and an opportunity to converse with two MLAs from the B.C. Conservative Party who were both elected by double-digit margins in the October 2024 provincial election in their respective ridings.

According to an event flyer, the casual event features burgers (beef, chicken or veggie), a side and a choice of a refreshing beer or glass of wine, while hearing Maahs and Luck discuss provincial issues.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to connect, build momentum and show your support for our MLAs and the Conservative movement in B.C.,” the event description stated.

Representing Chilliwack North, Maahs is a former SD33 trustee of over 17 years, while Luck’s professional experience spans finance, public service and a 26-year career with B.C. Hydro. Luck’s expansive Fraser-Nicola riding now includes Hope, Harrison Hot Springs, the District of Kent, the Fraser Canyon communities of Yale and Boston Bar, and communities like Merritt, Lytton, Logan Lake, and Lillooet.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be shared equally among the two riding associations. Contact Tanya Maahs at 604-793-6464 or Corally Delwo at 250-318-0355 for more information on the fundraiser.
