RCMP respond to barn fire in Langley early Friday afternoon

LANGLEY — Police and firefighters were on scene of a structure fire in Langley early Friday afternoon (Jun. 6).

At around 11:45 a.m. Langley RCMP received a call for service in the 20500 block of 102B Avenue and found a barn fully engulfed in a blaze.

“Multiple police resources are currently on scene, working in coordination with the Township of Langley Fire Department,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “We are in the very early stages of this investigation, and as such, a significant police presence will remain in the area.

Drivers and residents are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes while emergency crews continue their work.
