Chilliwack Chiefs tie BCHL playoff series ahead of Game 3

CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Chiefs are coming home with a hopeful 1-1 series tie for the Fred Page Cup Final.

Brooks Bandits may have taken Game 1 on Friday, May 16, but the Chiefs quickly rebounded the next day with a hard-fought 4-3 win.

Chiefs peppered the second period of Game 2 with goals as center Brady Milburn netted the first goal seven minutes into play. It was Milburn’s 10th goal of the playoff series. Bandits scored two goals of their own before forwards Caleb Elfering and Nico Grabas responded in kind.

Captain Mateo Mrsic scored the game-winning goal in the third period.

Game 3 of the BCHL Championship best-of-seven series is Tuesday night, May 20. Puck drops at 7 p.m. PDT at the Chilliwack Coliseum. Tickets start at $12 online through the Chiefs’ event website.
