Woman, 57, found deceased in West Kelowna home: RCMP
WEST KELOWNA — Mounties with the Southeast District Major Crime Unit in B.C. are investigating after a 57-year-old woman was found deceased in a West Kelowna home over the weekend.
According to a statement from B.C. RCMP spokesperson Corporal James Grandy, West Kelowna RCMP officers attended a local home on Saturday, May 3 to conduct a well-being check. Once they entered the home, officers found a deceased female, later identified as 57-year-old Cindy Walsh. Police say her death is considered suspicious.
Due to the nature of her death, the Southeast District Major Crime Unit (SED MCU) has assumed conduct of the investigation.
“We’re asking anyone who knew Cindy Walsh or may have seen her during the month of April to contact the Southeast District Major Crime Unit,” said S/Sgt. Jason Smart, NCO i/c of SED MCU. “Even something seemingly minor could assist investigators in determining what led to her death.”
