Resident input needed on new east Abbotsford neighbourhood park
ABBOTSFORD — The City of Abbotsford is asking the public to put their two cents in on an upcoming park on the east side, in the Immel-McMillan area.
To expand outdoor recreation opportunities, the City will be building on roughly 1.3 hectares of parkland on Blackham Drive.
“The park’s unique topography provides an exciting opportunity to design a space that maximizes access to scenic views and nature, while utilizing both the flat and hillside areas to create a fun and engaging environment,” wrote the City.
Residents are now asked to share what features they’d like to see in this park, such as trails, play areas, gathering spaces and more. You can do so through an online survey or attending an in-person event on Wednesday, May 14, at 2899 Blackham Drive.
