Chilliwack first responders attend 2-vehicle collision on First Ave. Thursday evening

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack Fire, Chilliwack RCMP and B.C. Ambulance Service paramedics were dispatched shortly after 8:40 p.m. Thursday night for a 2-car vehicle crash on First Avenue.

According to scanner traffic, and information gathered by witness David Seltenrich who lives nearby, first responders were called to the area of First Avenue and Charles Street after two vehicles, believed to be a Kia Seltos SUV and a Chevy Sonic, collided.

Two ambulances and two RCMP units attended.

The extent of their injuries is not immediately known, though Seltenrich says one person was placed in a stretcher.

Patients have been left in care of B.C. Ambulance, and the scene has been left with RCMP members, firefighters told dispatch at 9:05 p.m.
