No public risk as Agassiz RCMP apprehend man Monday night

AGASSIZ — Agassiz RCMP are releasing details of an incident Monday evening (Apr. 28) in the Mount Woodside area.

Police say officers were called to a residence to deal with a man who police say was experiencing mental health issues.

The RCMP Integrated Emergency Response Team managed to take the man into custody safely. Police say there was never a risk to public safety.

A police news release doesn’t state any information regarding charges however, police say the investigation remains open.
