Novice Abbotsford driver caught speeding for second time since February

ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford police are astounded by one of the city’s latest speed demons.
AbbyPD said this past week, an N driver sped past an unmarked police vehicle for the second time in recent months. Officers recorded the 21-year-old driving at 105 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
“Consequently, his vehicle was impounded for seven days, and he received an excessive speeding ticket,” said the Abbotsford Police Department in a social media post. “So far this year, AbbyPD officers have impounded 158 vehicles for excessive speed.”
The driver has an upcoming court date for his first speeding offence in February.
