Police seize two motorcycles as impaired driving climbs over 400 in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Police Department continues to share more cases from its Easter Long Weekend crackdown.

According to a post shared yesterday (Apr. 24), AbbyPD’s Traffic Enforcement Unit identified two impaired motorcyclists this past weekend, with one rider involved in a crash on Highway 1.

“Both drivers received 90-day driving suspensions and had their motorcycles impounded for 30 days,” wrote Abbotsford Police. “So far this year, AbbyPD officers have removed 426 impaired drivers from Abbotsford roads.”

Over 500 police files were handled from 5:00 p.m. on April 17 to 6:00 a.m. on April 22. Officers responded to a range of incidents, including a serious accident, break-ins and assaults.
