New event blooms in Chilliwack garden this weekend

CHILLIWACK — A local gardening centre is hosting a two-day event full of plants, lemonade, and giveaways this weekend.

“Bloomin’ Easy Days” is happening now at Minter Country Gardens, where visitors can sip on free peach lemonades while browsing locally grown, easy-care plant collections.

“Connecting with beginners and plant lovers of all kinds at events like these fuels our passion to bring the best new and easy-to-grow plants to communities across North America—some of which will be available for the first time in limited quantities for Bloomin’ Easy Days!” said Bloomin’ Easy’s Marketing Manager, Madison House.

Bloomin’ Easy shrubs are compact and meant to help home gardeners find the ideal plants for their lifestyle. Each plant also comes with QR codes right on its tags to educate gardeners on their latest addition.

Shoppers who buy a Bloomin’ Easy plant will be entered into a draw for a $300 Minter Country Gardens gift card, and Bloomin’ Easy will match the giveaway with a $300 donation to the Meadow Rose Society in Chilliwack.

Minter Country Gardens is located at 10015 Young Road, just minutes away from District 1881. The event is set to run until tomorrow, April 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
