Vehicle fire spreads, damages homes in Langley
LANGLEY — Mounties in Langley are investigating a vehicle fire Tuesday morning that spread to nearby homes and caused significant damage.
According to a statement from Langley RCMP Sgt. Zynal Sharoom, Langley RCMP received a report of a vehicle on fire in the 20400 block of 66 Avenue on Tuesday morning, Apr. 22 at about 5:23 a.m.
Police say preliminary information suggests the fire may have started in the vehicle and spread to nearby homes, thereby damaging them significantly.
“We are in the very early stages of this investigation and are working alongside the Township of Langley Fire Department to determine the origin and cause of this fire,” Sgt. Sharoom said.
