Chilliwack Chiefs open second round of playoffs with win over Alberni Valley

CHILLIWACK — Brady Milburn scored twice in the first period and then set up another goal in the third period as the Chilliwack Chiefs cruised to a 6 – 1 victory over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in the opening game of their BCHL playoff series.
Milburn’s first goal came midway through the opening period. His second came 1:11 later on a powerplay and was his fifth of the postseason.
Dustin Renas, Dwayne Jean Jr., Connor Dick and Arjun Bawa also scored goals for the Chiefs while Quentin Miller stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Chilliwack net.
Game two in the second round best-of-seven series is scheduled Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Chilliwack Coliseum.
