Round two kicks off with the number one seed in the Coastal Conference, Chilliwack Chiefs, taking on the 7th-ranked Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

Denver University commit, Brady Milburn, scored game one’s first goal at 9:39 of the opening frame. Then, Milburn doubled down by scoring a power-play goal just one minute and twenty-four seconds later, to make it 2-0 Chiefs.

The second period stayed scoreless with the Chiefs killing off a cross-checking penalty by the team‘s best penalty killer, Nathan Morin. After 40 minutes with an abundance of puck possession time controlled by the Chiefs, the shots were 24 -17 in favour of the home team.

In the third period, the Chiefs turned it on. Scoring three goals all before the five-minute mark. Dustin Renas scored the first of the three, followed by Arjun Bawa and Dwayne Jean Jr. The Chiefs then made it 6-0 at the 11:22 mark with perhaps the best looking goal of the game. Storming down the right wing, Connor Dick finished off with a backhand top corner goal.

In the final minutes, the Bulldogs broke the score, making the game 6-1. Montreal Canadiens draft pick Quentin Miller stopped 27 of 28 pucks fired his way. Picking up his fifth win of the post-season.

The road to the Fred Page Cup continues tonight at the Chilliwack Coliseum with Game 2 starting at 7pm.
