As MP Strahl maintains lead, advance voting begins tomorrow in Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK — Voters in Chilliwack who can’t wait to cast their ballot in the upcoming federal election can do so during advance voting this Easter long weekend.
According to the Elections Canada website, Chilliwack residents can vote between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. starting Friday, Apr. 18 to Monday, Apr. 21. They can refer to the location of advanced voting from their voter information card sent to most homes by now.
Voters can also go to the Elections Canada office at 9214 Mary Street and vote. Voters do not need their voter information cards in order to cast their ballot, but do need to prove their identity with ID cards of some sort.
The six candidates in Chilliwack-Hope consist of longtime MP Mark Strahl of the Conservative Party of Canada, Zeeshan Khan from the Liberal Party of Canada, Salina Derish representing the Green Party, SD33 trustee Teri Westerby of the NDP, People’s Party of Candidate Jeff Galbraith, and Chris Adam of the United Party of Canada.
