CHILLIWACK — The Prince George Spruce Kings were unable to complete an upset in Game 7 against the Chilliwack Chiefs on Tuesday night.

Chiefs goaltender Quentin Miller stopped all 33 shots the Spruce Kings fired at him to earn his first BCHL playoff shutout in a 4-0 win for the Chiefs.

The first goal of the game didn’t come until a minute and 45 seconds into the second period, when Chiefs forward Caleb Elfering put his first of two past Spruce Kings goalie Charles-Edward Gravel.

The Spruce Kings had the lone power play in the game halfway through the second, but were unable to score.

The Chiefs struck with their second goal at the 15:59 mark, when Adam Boatter tucked one in at the side of the goal.

Elfering got his second of the night at the 1:59 mark of the third period to make it 3-0 Chiefs, with Gravel on his back after a scramble at the side of the net.

The Spruce Kings pulled their goaltender Gravel with 4:04 remaining in the third, but just under a minute later the Chiefs Nathan Morin scored the empty netter to make it 4-0 Chiefs.

Spruce Kings goalie Charles-Edward Gravel made 39 saves on 42 shots in the loss.
