Fire training in Chilliwack tonight
Popkum Fire to conduct training exercise Tuesday evening

CHILLIWACK — Popkum Fire Department east of Chilliwack will conduct fire suppression training in the community it serves Tuesday evening (Apr. 15) from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The fire agency wrote on social media that area residents may notice flashing lights, fire trucks and fire hoses on the ground near training area.
Popkum Fire says this is a planned training exercise, not an emergency.
“The public is welcome to watch from a safe distance as our firefighters practice important skills,” Popkum Fire said, adding that there will be no active fire. “Thank you for your support and cooperation!”
