Vehicle crash snarls Yale Road traffic Wednesday near Chilliwack car wash

CHILLIWACK — A motor vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon snarled traffic near Best Boyz Car Wash on Yale Road in Chilliwack.

Chilliwack Fire Department, B.C. Ambulance Service crews and Chilliwack RCMP members were called to the 45500 block of Yale Road sometime after 2:30 p.m. for a motor vehicle accident.

Chilliwack resident William Snow provided a picture to Fraser Valley Today showing at least two fire engines, one ambulance, and at least three RCMP vehicles attending the scene.

According to scanner traffic, one person had to be extricated from a vehicle. One patient was left in care of B.C. Ambulance Service.

When asked how many vehicles were involved, Snow said he could only see a red vehicle as being involved, adding that traffic was heavily backed up through the area. Snow said the red vehicle’s windows may have been damaged during the collision.
