FRASER VALLEY — The organization supporting hospitals and care facilities in the Fraser Valley is looking back on its 25 years of community service.

In April 2000, the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) was established to raise funds and awareness about services within the regional hospital district.

A quarter-century later, the foundation has funded essential upgrades and renovations at all four hospital sites: Mission Memorial Hospital, Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Fraser Canyon Hospital, and Chilliwack General Hospital. Some examples include:

  • Advanced Imaging: CT scanners, mammography equipment, and ultrasounds to improve diagnostic capabilities and patient outcomes.
  • Enhanced Patient Care: Stretcher beds, baby scales, vein finders, colonoscopes, pacemakers, and bladder scanners provide comfortable and effective treatment.
  • Holistic Well-being Programs: Art therapy sessions and concert series for older adults, providing creative outlets and social engagement opportunities.
