CHILLIWACK — Telus Communications is looking to install a telecommunications antenna on a rural property about a kilometre north of Keith Wilson Road in Chilliwack.

Telus Communications has submitted a proposal to build a 42-metre telecommunications monopole with six initial antennas at the top on a 16.7-acre parcel of land in the 6000 block of Unsworth Road, according to a sign posted in front of the property.

Accompanying the antenna proposal is a request to build an equipment shelter enclosed within a 10-meter by 10-meter fenced compound area at the base of the structure.

People with questions about the project are invited to contact Hannah Taylor on behalf of Cypress Land Services at 604-620-0877, or via email at PublicConsultations@cypresslandservices.com.

The deadline for submission of any questions or comments to the proponent is Wednesday, April 9.

Cypress Land Services wrote on its website that it enhances telecommunications for Canadians by “partnering with companies and property owners to successfully acquire land rights and regulatory approvals.”
