Upcoming art exhibit to showcase Chilliwack student work

CHILLIWACK — Young Chilliwack artists will get to show off the products of their creative minds starting in April at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre’s O’Connor Group Art Gallery.

Art 33 will feature high school students’ art from SD33, with works ranging from painting and sculpture to photography and mixed media.

“This annual event highlights the creativity and talent of local youth, offering a platform for students to share their unique perspectives and artistic voices,” wrote the Chilliwack Visual Artists Association in a release.

“[V]isitors can expect to see a diverse range of works that represent the vibrant, artistic community within Chilliwack.”

The art show is set to run from April 16 to May 17. A special reception to honour the students will be free and open to the public from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 26.
