CHILLIWACK — An honourably discharged Canadian Navy veteran, former small business owner and single father is now running to become the next Member of Parliament for Chilliwack-Hope.

Jeff Galbraith is looking to use his diverse experiences as the People’s Party representative in the upcoming federal election.

“Canadians deserve to have the Freedom to live their lives as they deem right for themselves and their families and not to have those Freedoms violated by those who ‘promised’ to represent them in Ottawa,” said Galbraith on his campaign website.

“The People’s Party offers Canadians an opportunity that none of the existing parties have provided: principled and accountable government. Voters can choose a government that is committed to restoring the freedoms and the authority to control their own life, their own affairs, and their own family.”

The PPC candidate has been meeting with residents since 2022. His community service includes seven years on his strata as a peer council member and current chairman, and he also assisted and coached various minor hockey teams over a 35-year period.

“Your vote [for the People’s Party] in Chilliwack-Hope will mean real family values, real fiscal responsibility, and real moral decency. What kind of man would I be if I did not try to make my part of the world better? This, my friends, is my duty.”

Voters can speak with Galbraith at his Meet and Greet event at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, at the Chilliwack Curling Club.
