Overnight closures planned on Highway 1 near Langley for bridge sign removal

LANGLEY — The B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Transit is urging drivers to plan ahead as crews remove an overhead sign on Highway 1 eastbound near the 264th Street interchange late tonight, March 28.

Between midnight and 4:30 a.m., there will be 20-minute intermittent eastbound lane closures to allow for the safe removal of the bridge sign. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained, and traffic will be routed between the closure periods.

Drivers can avoid traffic stoppages on the eastbound lane by exiting the highway and detouring between 232nd Street and 264th Street or travelling at other times.

The closures are part of a highway-widening project to improve capacity from Langley to Chilliwack. Updates will be available on the DriveBC website.
