Heavy rainfall warning remains in effect in southern B.C., including Fraser Valley
ABBOTSFORD — Spring showers are coming down heavy on the Fraser Valley as a significant rainfall warning remains in several parts of southern B.C.
Environment Canada says up to 120 mm of rain could fall by Monday (Mar. 24) across the Valley, including Abbotsford. The same goes for Metro Vancouver, Howe Sound and the Sunshine Coast.
The heaviest conditions are expected today and tonight before tapering off on Monday evening. Further east, towards Abbotsford, the heaviest rainfall is expected tonight and into Monday morning.
“Freezing levels will continue to rise today and stay significantly elevated into the first half of this week,” said the agency in a statement. “Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.”
