Highways leading to the Interior from Hope could see significant snow Thursday night

HOPE — A taste of winter is expected to linger on the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt and from Hope to Princeton on the first night of spring.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Highway 5 from Thursday night to Friday morning, warning that significant snowfall could accumulate.
A similar statement is in effect for Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton.
The agency says a Pacific frontal system will bring snow levels low enough to create challenging driving conditions in heavier bands of snow.
