Highway 1 to be closed east of Lytton later this week
LYTTON — The B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) says Highway 1 east of Lytton will be closed later this week and part of next week.
According to a statement from MOTI, Highway 1 at Tank Hill, 14 kilometres east of Lytton, will be closed overnight on Friday, March 21, and in the afternoon from Monday, March 24 until Wednesday, March 26.
MOTI says the closure is necessary for the installation of steel girders that will span the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) rail line as part of the new overpass.
The closures begin this Friday at midnight and continue until 4 a.m., and during the day from 12:30-5:30 p.m. between Monday, March 24 until Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
