
Two people dead after overnight crash in Abbotsford
ABBOTSFORD — AbbyPD says two people have died after a truck crashed and rolled over early Thursday morning on King Road in Abbotsford.
According to a statement from Sgt. Paul Walker, emergency services were dispatched for a single-vehicle collision in the 32200 block of King Road at 12:36 a.m. Thursday morning, Mar. 13. On arrival, first responders located a heavily damaged pickup truck that had struck a telephone pole and flipped over. The two occupants of the truck were noted suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite the immediate efforts of civilians and first responders, both occupants tragically died from their injuries at the scene.
Police say the investigation is in its early stages and is being conducted by AbbyPD patrol officers, with support from the Integrated Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Service (ICARS).
King Road was closed between Clearbrook Road and Columbia Street, but has since reopened as of 7:36 a.m.
