B.C. hunters face dozens of charges for multiple poaching-related incidents
SHERIDAN LAKE — Four people face a combined 43 charges in connection with unlawfully hunting and killing wildlife throughout BC.
In a social media post this morning (Mar. 7), the B.C. Conservation Officer Service said the investigation began in the fall of 2023 when officers responded to a report of shots fired near a Sheridan Lake cabin near 100 Mile House.
An execution of two search warrants found that two of the accused worked as social media influencers who ran a backcountry hunting site.
The charges relate to unlawful hunts and violations related to the killing of two stone sheep, two mountain goat, one elk and four mule deer.
